{Last Minute}
Need a little last minute mother's day gift? Look no further.
Quick. Grab some empty soup cans, fabric scraps {I washed mine to give them a "shabby" look}, and your hot glue gun...
And there you have it. Picture this on your mom's counter by the phone. It's perfect for mothers or pretty much anyone. Well, except most fathers who already have their own pencil holders...;) {hee-hee}
{Note}
And if that doesn't work for you... there's always the heart felt note.
Who wouldn't want one of those. I'm hoping for one this year.
I have been using a food storage can as a utensil holder. I can't wait to doll it up with this idea of fabric. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThose cans turned out SO cute!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea of covering with fabric...thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCute!! What a great way to reuse soup cans!
ReplyDeleteHey! I just started a linky party last week called "20 minute tuesdays". It was a great "party" with more than 50 links!
ReplyDeleteProjects that cost less than $10 and take less than 20-30 mins (ish) are invited and I think this project would be a great addition to the party this week!
Would you consider coming over?

Love the fabric on your cans...can't ever have to many containers for all my crafing stuff! Great idea to pretty them up and recycle in the process!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat gift! I love anything where you can recycle things!
ReplyDeleteFeaturing you in my wrap up post today! Hope you'll come grab a featured button ;)
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! I think I'll make some of these for our school teachers since I'm such a terrible mom & didn't do anything for teacher appreciation week. I also love Strictly Sewings idea for covering a #10 can with them for larger items. Ya, more fun projects for my list! thanks for sharing!

Are pencil holders part of a home office anymore? I could see more of a need for usb drives than pencils in today's technological world.
